Game Review: Thursday, June 4, 2015: Jenny Orr v Addison
Godel v Jami Griffeth
Thursday, June 4, 2015
I don’t
know if this is just me or that there is an increase on number of PhD,
competing on this show. 2 of our TOC (I think) are PhD.

- · Jenny Orr, an attorney from Cleveland, Ohio
- · Addison Godel, a Ph.D. student in architectural history from Brooklyn, New York
- · Jami Griffeth, a character trainer originally from Lindenhurst, Illinois (whose 1-day cash winnings total $11,000)

|
In case
you’re wondering, ‘HOW TO DRAIN YOUR FLAGON”, was written on a game of
beer-pong. By drunk man, exactly.
The
game starts as our returning champion picked “WRITERS FIRST N AME’S THE SAME”,
continued by “ICE PACK”, “HOW TO DRAIN YOUR FLAGON”, “FUN WITH COLORS” (I’m
disappointed, no Forrest Bounce in play.)
After Jenny finished “FUN WITH COLORS”, we moved to “THE SOUTH PACIFIC”.
Addison found the Daily Double underneath the $ 1,000 clue.

She
wagered $ 2,000. I’m having hard time reasoning why she played $ 2,000 only. For
your information, out of four clues of “THE SOUTH PACIFIC”, she answered two
clues
.
Clue: These stone statues seen throughout the islands may represent
deified ancestors in Tahitian mythology & are often placed outside of
temples as protection
Addison:
[Exhales] Um… what are idols?
Alex : No, what are tikis.
Addison: Oh!

We

the first daily double at “MYTH” for $ 1,200. She wagered $ 4,000. Big number.

We
predicted that Addison’s score will be around $ 19,600. Gobel’s score will be $
15,000. That’s $ 4,600 difference, so $ 4,000 is an appropriate wager, given
the fact that she didn’t have a computer to help her.
Clue: This Egyptian god's evil brother Set tricked him into lying down in
a box that was thrown into the river
Addison:
Who is Osiris?
Alex : Don't you love it when you're able to
drag some important bit of information out of thin air?
